The Central Bank of Nigeria on Friday warned Nigerians against the practices deemed abusive to the naira currency.
In a warning issued on Twitter, the apex bank told Nigerians that oractices such as money bouquet, squeezing, selling, and defacing as forms of naira abuse.
Also included on the list of acts to shun is spraying money; a common practice among Nigerians of all calibres.
CBN urged Nigerians to report persons found culpable of the listed forms of abuses to the naira.
“It is your civic duty to protect the Naira. Report Naira abuse today,” the apex bank tweeted.
