SUNU Health Nigeria Limited has teamed with Mobihealth to provide insurance beneficiaries with telehealth services.

According to The Punch, the business claimed in a statement that SUNU Health had been offering health insurance products in Nigeria and other African nations for more than 20 years.

Managing Director of SUNU Health, Dr. Korie Patrick, was quoted in the announcement as stating that the cooperation would bring quality healthcare closer to the doorsteps of those in need in a timely and cost-effective manner.

He declared, “Thanks to the COVID-19 epidemic, the use of telemedicine and digital health tools has become crucial for providing care.

“Telemedicine is a very practical approach that may address a variety of medical problems and fill the hospital staffing gaps.

He claimed that the cost of commuting to the hospital and long wait periods, along with the country’s current economic crisis, make the solution highly timely. “In order to give value to customers, SUNU Health is dedicated to using the most recent developments in digital health.

“We are thrilled to work with MobiHealth International, a firm that has won numerous awards and has a reputation for quality both locally and internationally.

“Beneficiaries of SUNU will now have 24/7 access to doctors in Nigeria and throughout the world from the convenience of their phones, homes, or places of employment.”

The statement claimed that in addition to receiving face-to-face care in hospitals, recipients would also receive prescription drugs, diagnostic tests, and referrals as needed.

The Chief Executive Officer of Mobihealth, Dr. Funmi Adewara, spoke about the collaboration with SUNU Health and commended it as an interesting venture.
