Several Microsoft services, including Bing and Copilot, as well as ChatGPT internet search and DuckDuckGo, are currently experiencing disruptions in Europe, Bleeping Computer reported.

Users attempting to access Bing.com and Copilot are encountering blank pages and 429 errors, while DuckDuckGo is displaying an error message stating, “There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.”

Microsoft has acknowledged the issue on its @MSFT365Status X page, stating, “We’re investigating an issue where users may be unable to access the Microsoft Copilot service. We’re working to isolate the cause of the issue. More information can be found in the admin center under CP795190.” OpenAI has also confirmed the problem and is actively investigating.

The outage is affecting both ChatGPT internet search, available to Plus or corporate users, and DuckDuckGo, both of which rely on the Bing API. The disruption is believed to have begun around 3AM ET on May 23.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has faced service interruptions. In January, Teams experienced an outage across North and South America.

Additionally, the company suffered a significant breach during the same month, leading to a US government review board criticizing Microsoft’s security culture as “inadequate” and in need of improvement.
