Microsoft has launched Bing Chat Enterprise, a version of Bing Chat with business-focused data privacy and governance controls
“We’ve heard from many corporate customers who are excited to empower their organizations with powerful new AI tools but are concerned that their companies’ data will not be protected,” Frank X. Shaw, Microsoft’s chief communications officer, wrote in a blog post.
In the newly launched service, a customer’s employee or business data is not visible to Microsoft while using Bing Chat Enterprise, and customer data is not used to train the underlying AI models.
With the exception of the data controls, Bing Chat Enterprise, which becomes preview-only on Tuesday, functions similarly to Bing Chat by responding to requests both verbally and visually using graphs, charts, and photos.
When an employee connects into Bing with the Microsoft Account linked to their company, Bing Chat Enterprise is automatically enabled.
A few months after Microsoft-owned GitHub released Copilot for Business, Bing Chat Enterprise went live.
