Meta’s Instagram intends to integrate its branded content tools with Threads, according to Reuters.
While advertising is not available, these technologies will assist advertisers in collaborating with influencers on paid partnerships on the social media site.
The announcement follows Threads, largely regarded as Elon Musk’s Twitter’s rival, reaching 100 million users in a record-breaking five days.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, the firm wouldn’t consider making Threads monetizable until it was evident how to reach a billion people.
Users of Instagram may transfer their accounts, login information, and followers to Threads, providing the text-based social networking site access to Instagram’s more than 2 billion users.
Despite the lack of advertising on the network, a number of businesses have already begun creating profiles on Threads to share content naturally.
The lack of hashtags and keyword search capabilities on Threads, though, would reduce the platform’s appeal to marketers.
