Lufthansa has started offering most of the business class seats on its Allegris-configured Boeing 787-9 fleet following the resolution of certification issues that had previously restricted availability.
The German airline said that 25 of the 28 Allegris business class seats are now bookable for flights from April 15, while three seats in the cabin’s second row remain unavailable pending final approval.
This shows a notable change from the Allegris-configured Dreamliner’s debut from Frankfurt in October 2025, when only a few front-row business suites were available for booking while the remaining seats were held back pending certification with the US Federal Aviation Administration.
Lufthansa did not disclose the exact technical issues, but the restrictions had limited seat availability even as the aircraft continued flying long-haul routes.
The Allegris cabin concept, introduced in 2024, had previously been in service on Airbus A350-900s from Munich before its rollout on the 787-9 from Frankfurt.
The business class cabin includes several seat options, such as private suites, extended-length beds, and upgraded privacy features, with certain choices available for an extra fee.
