Link-in-bio platform Linktree is expanding far beyond simple link aggregation with the launch of a robust suite of monetization tools designed to help creators earn directly through the platform.
The update includes options to sell online courses, offer digital products, earn brand commissions, and display sponsored links—all aimed at turning Linktree profiles into powerful revenue generators.
These new features position Linktree in direct competition not only with other link-in-bio tools like Beacons and Shorby but also with creator monetization giants like Patreon.
A highlight of the update is a new integration with Kajabi, allowing users to build and sell courses directly on their Linktree page. Whether it’s a fitness trainer sharing a workout program or a musician teaching guitar, creators can now price and monetize their content with ease, thanks to Stripe-powered payments.
Linktree is also simplifying the sale of digital products like e-books, templates, and guides. Previously available via a third-party integration with SendOwl, these items can now be sold natively within the Linktree platform, with the company introducing its own take rate based on the user’s subscription tier.
“We want to make sharing and teaching far more accessible for creators everywhere,” said Linktree CEO Alex Zaccaria in an interview with TechCrunch.
Another major addition is the Linktree Shop, available to all U.S. users, which lets creators earn commissions on products from major retailers like Amazon, Target, Lululemon, and Revolve. Users can also integrate affiliate links or display sponsored links directly on their Linktree page. For example, a creator can now earn money when a follower subscribes to Hulu through their Linktree, with all sponsored content clearly marked.
Linktree plans to go beyond affiliate-style earnings with native advertising options. “Right now, creators are getting paid per conversion or attribution,” said Zaccaria. “But we’re introducing cost-per-click and cost-per-impression models as well.”
To encourage engagement, Linktree is rolling out “Rewards,” a milestone-based incentive program offering bonus commissions and potential brand collaborations. All creator earnings—whether from course sales, digital products, or affiliate commissions—will now be funneled into a new centralized “wallet” feature, making income tracking simpler.
With over 70 million users, Linktree’s latest update aims to empower creators with multiple streams of income—all within a single platform. The tools are now accessible via the new “Earn” section, available on both web and mobile.
