Kuda Business hits 100,000 customers milestone

Kuda Business, a division of Kuda Microfinance Bank, has attained 100,000 customers milestone on its platform, according to The Punch.

According to Kuda, more than 100,000 freelancers and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the country are supported by the business management and banking platform.

Kuda, in 2022 launched an all-in-one business manager, for freelancers and SMEs, which sends estimates and invoices, makes bulk transfers, and pays invoices on one platform.

The Vice President of Product Innovation Strategy at Kuda, Nosa Oyegun, in his speech on the milestone, said, “Reaching the milestone of 100,000 customers is a testament to the value we bring to small businesses and freelancers.

“Our mission has always been to empower businesses with the financial tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive market. We understand the importance of agility, efficiency, and accessibility, which is why we have developed a platform that simplifies banking processes and puts control back into the hands of entrepreneurs.”

In his remark, the Senior Product Manager at Kuda, Okoronkwo Kanno, “In an increasingly digital world, businesses need access to intuitive and efficient banking platforms like Kuda Business.”

He pointed out “Our platform empowers entrepreneurs to focus on what they do best – running their businesses – without being burdened by outdated banking practices. We are committed to continuously enhancing our offerings and expanding our reach to support even more businesses on their journey to success.”

Since its launch, Kuda Business has introduced exclusive features like Sales Mode, Kuda Payroll, and business registration on the Kuda Business mobile app as well as a softPOS feature that helps businesses receive contactless payments on their smartphones wherever they are.

According to the latest data from the International Labour Organisation, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises contribute 48 % of Nigeria’s GDP and employ 84 % of its unemployed workforce.
