Kano govt to prioritize industrialization, security

The governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to making industrialization, energy, security, and climate change projects a top priority.

The Punch reported that the governor made this statement on Monday while hosting visitors from the Kuru branch of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.

Governor Yusuf represented by his deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo commended the Senior Executive Course 45 participants 

who as part of their study visit, were now in Kano for their participation in the program.

This information was included in a statement released by the Deputy Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu.

The governor, according to Gwarzo in the release, “assured that the state government will diligently implement their findings and recommendations to strengthen the state’s industrialization, energy, security, and climate change status” and expresses excitement for the participants’ report.

Leading the group was the Director General of NIPSS, Professor Ayo Omotayo, who thanked Governor Yusuf for the gracious welcome.

He stated that their main goal in Kano is to interact with important industrial stakeholders and with an emphasis on understanding their impact on the lives of common people, he said the group strives to analyze and identify difficulties encountered by industries in Kano State, particularly in areas like power and climate change.

The Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Baffa Abdullahi Bichi, expressed his gratitude to NIPSS for choosing Kano State as one of the seven states for their research visit.

He gave the delegation the reassurance that the state will offer all the resources and assistance required to support their research, ensuring the production of worthwhile findings for efficient implementation across the state.

The Comptroller of Immigration and an SEC 45 participant, Franka Nwaneka, also thanked the Kano state government and its citizens for their cordial welcome.

During the research tour, Nwaneka promised to exert all of their skills and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
