Interswitch unveils platform to streamline corporate, consumer travel

Interswitch loses N30bn to chargeback fraud - Report

Interswitch, Africa’s leading integrated technology company, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the continent’s travel and mobility sector with the launch of Quickteller Travel, a platform designed to streamline bookings and payments for travellers, corporates, and agencies.

The company in a statement on Tuesday said that it unveiled the solution at the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market, held in Lagos from September 14–16, 2025.

Through its sponsorship, panel discussions, and live demonstrations, Interswitch showcased how Quickteller Travel is reshaping the African travel experience by connecting service providers more effectively with travellers.

Quickteller Travel offers seamless bookings for flights, hotels, tours, and corporate travel, alongside secure and reliable payments across multiple channels.

Integrated with fintech APIs, the platform caters to individuals, corporates, interstate transport operators, and travel agencies, providing a comprehensive solution for Africa’s diverse travel needs.

During a panel session at the expo, Nnenna Ajanwachuku, Vice President, Transport Ecosystem at Interswitch, highlighted the company’s vision to transform travel across Africa.

“At Interswitch, we’re not just processing transactions; we’re creating the infrastructure that connects travellers, content creators, and operators across Africa. Quickteller Travel is making bookings smarter, payments safer, and travel more accessible for everyone,” Ajanwachuku said.

Her remarks highlighted Interswitch’s broader strategy of creating ecosystems that foster inclusion, efficiency, and prosperity across Africa.

Over the three-day expo, Interswitch drew significant attention from key stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector. Delegates and operators interacted with the company’s exhibition and live demos, experiencing firsthand how Quickteller Travel integrates innovative technology with Africa’s mobility landscape.

Exhibitors, corporate travel managers, and agency representatives praised the platform for its ability to streamline operations, enable seamless payments, and enhance customer experience. By integrating digital tools with travel services, Interswitch is positioning itself as a catalyst for growth in a sector vital to intra-African trade and regional development.

Ajanwachuku explained that this approach reinforces Interswitch’s mission of building infrastructure that drives business growth while offering travellers convenience and confidence.

“Our vision is clear. We are focused on simplifying travel, enabling growth for businesses, and giving travellers the convenience and confidence they deserve,” she added.

This approach aligns with Interswitch’s broader mission to promote intra-African trade and prosperity through digital innovation.

Industry observers note that Quickteller Travel is particularly timely, as Africa advances the integration of its travel, trade, and mobility systems under initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area.

The platform not only enhances travel efficiency but also strengthens Africa’s ability to compete globally by leveraging digital infrastructure.
