The Professional Insurance Ladies Association has called on women to key into the various opportunities offered by the African Continental Free Trade Area.
This was disclosed by the group during the investiture of the 15th president of the association, held recently in Lagos, according to The Punch.
In her acceptance speech, the 15th President of PILA, Mrs Bimbo Onakomaiya said the association will support trade and investment facilitation to persuade members to key into the government’s participation in the AfCFTA.
In addition, she said that the association would collaborate with reputable financial inclusion experts to adopt proactive portfolios that consider both the short- and medium-term outlook.
She mentioned that the group concluded plans to expand its health knowledge capacity.
“The capacity would focus on mental health issues and being proactive in the prevention of Cancer and Hepatitis B,” she stated.
Onakomaiya added that the association would adopt a more deliberate strategy to guarantee the financial diversity and inclusivity of its members both inside and outside the country’s financial sector.
