Ikeja Electric has apologised to customers on some of its Band A feeders after it failed to deliver the minimum daily electricity supply of 20 hours on November 3 and 4, 2026.
The power distribution company made the announcement in a statement posted on its official X account on Thursday, expressing regret over the service shortfall experienced by the affected customers.
“We apologise for falling short of the expected minimum service level of 20 hours on the Band A feeders below for November 3rd and 4th, 2026,” the company stated.
Under Nigeria’s service-based electricity tariff structure, customers on Band A feeders are entitled to at least 20 hours of electricity supply every day.
The company, however, did not name the specific feeders affected or explain what caused the disruption in its announcement.
The latest apology comes amid concerns over inconsistent power supply to customers in the premium Band A category.
In a separate public safety advisory, the company also cautioned residents against trading, building houses or erecting structures under or close to electricity transmission lines.
It warned that such activities could expose individuals and communities to serious risks, stressing that power line corridors are dangerous areas that require adequate safety clearance.
“Stay clear. Stay safe. Your life matters!” the company advised.
Ikeja Electric urged members of the public to observe safety guidelines around electricity infrastructure and to use its designated communication channels for enquiries and further safety information.
