ICYMI: ICPC arrests former NIMASA DG Bashir Jamoh into custody

ICPC criticizes procurement contracts over integrity gap

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has reportedly arrested Bashir Jamoh, former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, in Kaduna State.

According to a family representative, Jamoh was intercepted by ICPC operatives while returning home from a court engagement.

He was reportedly searched at his residence before being transferred from Kaduna to Abuja.

The family claims that since his arrest, Jamoh has been held incommunicado, without access to his relatives or legal counsel.

They have expressed concerns for his safety, describing the detention as a violation of his fundamental rights.

The ICPC has not yet released an official statement regarding the arrest or revealed the specific charges against him
