Google is introducing a new AI-powered feature in Google Calendar that allows users to manage their schedules more efficiently through conversational prompts.

The Gemini side panel, currently in testing through Google Workspace Labs, enables users to check their calendar, create events, and find event details with ease.

Accessible via the “Ask Gemini” icon in the top-right corner of Google Calendar, the tool provides suggested prompts. Users can also enter custom queries like “When is my next meeting with Emily?” or “Add a weekly workout every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 AM.”

This AI integration aims to streamline calendar management by reducing the need for manual entries and searches. Google Calendar joins Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Chat in receiving the Gemini AI assistant. However, it remains unclear when the feature will be widely available.
