Google announced on Wednesday that the standard subscription price will increase by $2 per user per month; all AI features in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Meet are now included in the Workspace suite at no additional charge.

The updated pricing streamlines access to AI tools such as email summarization, automated note-taking, and the Gemini chatbot. Previously, users paid an additional $20 per month for the Gemini for Workspace add-on alongside the $12 Workspace Business Standard plan. The new standard plan will cost $14 per user per month.

The price adjustment takes effect immediately for new customers while existing users will experience the change starting March 17, 2025. Small business customers, however, are exempt from the pricing changes for now.

Subscribers who purchased the Gemini for Workspace add-on will retain access to the features but will no longer incur charges for the subscription after January 31, 2025.
