Managing Director of Google Africa, Alex Okosi, is the recipient of the 2023 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.
The PUNCH stated that, his outstanding leadership and achievements to reshaping Africa’s commercial and entertainment scenes were acknowledged with this award.
Recently, the Silverbird Man of the Year Awards took place in Lagos.
Okosi was praised, according to a release, for his contributions to the transformation of the media and entertainment sector on the continent via innovative ventures and initiatives that boosted economies, businesses, and talent.
The creator of Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, once stated that, “Great people do simple things that turn out great. Being able to dream is essential for greatness. The continent has profited from Alex’s ambitions coming true throughout the years, which is why he is the recipient of the Iconic Pioneer Award. We’re eager to see Alex’s future accomplishments.”
As he accepted the award, Okosi thanked the Silverbird team and recognized the other honorees for their outstanding efforts to create a better future for young people in Nigeria and throughout Africa.
Other important people were also acknowledged at the celebration, such as Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Funke Akindele and Linda Ikeji, and Prince Dapo Abiodun, who received the Silverbird Man of the Year award.
