GITEX Africa: Microsoft, Mitsumi promote innovation

Microsoft Incorporated, a global technology firm, and Mitsumi Distribution, an artificial intelligence distributor in the Middle East and Africa, will participate in GITEX Africa 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Mitsumi Distribution said in a statement that it had plans to show the front line of technological progress and innovation at the event, which would have an extensive presence across 28 countries and strategic partnerships with over 27 suppliers, according to The Punch.

It said its focus at GITEX Africa 2024 revolves around the theme “Pioneering Future Solutions Today”.

It stated that the second edition of GITEX AFRICA, the continent’s largest tech and start-up show, would spotlight Africa’s artificial intelligence potential, with industry leaders and innovators gathering to explore the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption.

In addition, the AI distributor noted that the event would be held under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, from May 29 to June 1.

Meanwhile, In addition, the lead speakers will include the President of Microsoft Africa, Lillian Barnard to discuss how artificial intelligence could unlock African growth potential and stimulate economic development.

Mitsumi averred it will reveal a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and innovation solutions that are changing the world of IT, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, and value-based solutions.

It noted “In the realm of AI, Mitsumi will showcase advancements such as machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and AI-driven chatbots, among others.

“In the value division section, emphasis will be placed on cloud solutions, security, infrastructure solutions, and more.”

The Managing Director at Mitsumi Distribution, Mitesh Shah, said vendors to be showcased at Mitsumi’s booth are industry giants such as Acer, Array Networks, Asus, Canon, Dell Technologies, HPE, HP, Infinix, Lenovo, Lexar, Oppo, Samsung, Seagate, Tecno, and VIVO.
