French AI startup Mistral triples revenue in 100 days

One of Europe’s rising artificial intelligence startups, Mistral AI, unveiled the enterprise version of its Le Chat chatbot on Wednesday, as the company reported a threefold increase in revenue over the past 100 days, driven largely by demand outside the United States.

Founded just two years ago, the Paris-based firm had earlier introduced an open-source version of Le Chat in February. The newly launched enterprise model integrates with major content management systems, including Microsoft SharePoint and Google Drive, to serve corporate users more efficiently.

“In the last 100 days, we have tripled our business, particularly in Europe and outside of the U.S.,” said Arthur Mensch, CEO of Mistral AI, during a press briefing. “We’ve also been growing quite fast in the U.S.”

While Mistral does not publicly disclose its earnings, industry reports estimate the company generated around \$30 million in revenue last year. The firm is currently valued at \$6 billion.

As global tensions and concerns around data sovereignty grow—particularly in light of recent diplomatic strains between the U.S. and Europe—Mistral is positioning itself as a more autonomous alternative in the AI space. Mensch noted that the company now operates its own compute infrastructure, reducing reliance on American cloud providers.

“Our clients can deploy Le Chat entirely on their own infrastructure,” Mensch added, emphasizing that organizations retain full control over their data without requiring Mistral to manage it.
