Senator Shehu Sani has listed industry, agriculture, and security as major areas where the next administration’s policies must be directed in order to bring the economy back from the brink of collapse.
He said this recently in Lagos while serving as the keynote speaker for the third Double Diamond Empowerment Initiative event.
The event, with the theme “Holistic approach towards nation’s rebirth,” aimed to address leadership difficulties in Africa and recognize individuals who had excelled and positively influenced society in their different fields of activity.
He declared, “The newly installed administration must make audacious and brave decisions that must be in the best interests of our country.”
He stated: “Concerning the strength of our country since the morale of our people is at an all-time low right now, it is important to ensure that the country is strengthened.”
He then added that it is imperative that this administration treats the subject of national security seriously.
“The country’s economy comes next. We have had a government for the previous eight years that has no economic vision, no economic strategy, and no desire to deal with the core economic issues facing this country. Now, decisions must be made, and a timeline is required.”
