AI-driven note-taking platform backed by Khosla Ventures, Fireflies.ai, the has rolled out more than 200 specialized “mini apps” aimed at helping professionals extract meaningful insights from meeting transcripts instantly.
These domain-specific tools are designed to serve roles across sales, marketing, recruiting, operations, and customer support. The launch comes as competition intensifies in the meeting intelligence space, with rivals like Otter, Read AI, and Krisp also seeing rapid adoption.
Fireflies, too, has experienced explosive growth—an 8x increase in users—and has now reached profitability, according to co-founder and CEO Krish Ramineni.
“We want to close the gap between the meeting and the actionable insights that follow,” Ramineni told TechCrunch. “With these apps, Fireflies can kick off workflows immediately after meetings and boost productivity.”
Among the newly launched tools are the BANT Sales App, which helps sales teams identify key deal parameters like budget and authority, and the Agent Performance Feedback Generator, which delivers coaching tips based on call performance. The Product Launch Planning App helps marketing teams strategize go-to-market efforts.
Unlike platforms that require users to input custom prompts to analyze meeting data, Fireflies’ mini apps are designed to work straight out of the box—no prompting necessary.
The platform also supports integrations with services like Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, Jira, and Slack, enabling automated sharing of insights. For instance, a meeting summary can be sent directly to a manager via Slack once a call concludes.
Looking ahead, users will be able to customize and even share their own mini apps within teams or organizations. Fireflies is also piloting new features such as meeting briefs, which provide background on participants and companies, and digital twins—AI proxies that can attend meetings and respond to basic questions on a user’s behalf.
