The Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi Ports Group to pursue strategic cooperation in ports development, maritime logistics, and digital solutions.

Osagie Edward disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
He noted that the MoU was signed during the recently concluded Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, representing a major milestone in economic relations between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates.
“Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding to explore strategic collaboration in ports development, maritime logistics, and digital solutions.
“The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the recently concluded Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, marking a significant milestone in Nigeria–UAE economic relations,” Osagie said.
According to Edward, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, led the Nigerian delegation, while Mohamed Hassan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, headed the group’s management team.
“Also present was the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NIMASA, Dr Dayo Mobereola,” he added.
He added that the delegation later briefed President Bola Tinubu on the details and strategic significance of the MoU.
