FAAN, Enugu govt partner to turn airport into aviation hub

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria has partnered with the Enugu State Government led by Governor Peter Mbah, to transform the Akanu Ibiam International Airport into an Aviation hub for tourism in the state.

The agency made this known on Monday in a statement, as it shared pictures from their visit to the Governor, presenting him a plaque and visiting the proposed Cargo Terminal site and the New International Terminal Building under construction at the Enugu Airport.

 

The statement read, “MD @FAAN_Official, Mr Kabir Y. Mohammed presentating a plague to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, H.E. Dr @PNMbah during a courtesy visit to the Governor to seek for areas of collaboration in developing the Akanu Ibiam Int’l Airport into an Aviation hub for Tourism in the state.

 

“The Governor later joined the FAAN Team on inspection at the proposed Cargo Terminal site and the New International Terminal Building under construction at the Enugu Airport today June 19, 2023.”
