Evernote has made a new default free plan, just days after the company began testing a free plan with limited customers that allowed access to one notebook and fifty notes. This new update from the notekeeping app takes effect on December 4.
Evernote stated in a blog post that users can remove content from their notebooks in order to add more content—as long as it stays within the allotted amount.
It will be possible for users to export more notes and notebooks if they currently have more than 50 notes in their free accounts.
Evernote stated on its blog that these limitations will be reflected on its compare plans page on December 4. However, the company did not say whether other plans’ limits or prices will also be altered.
Evernote stated that users may be prompted to “reconsider” their “relationship with Evernote” as a result of this change.
Notion, Microsoft OneOne, and Zoho Notebook all have sizable free tiers for customers who might wish to check around for alternatives.
