The Board of Eterna Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Aliu Kamiyo as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.
According to the company’s announcement to the Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public, the appointment became effective on January 16, 2024.
Kamiyo takes over from Mr. Abdukerimu Sule, who recently resigned from the company, according to a statement issued by the Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Mandeila Golkus.
According to the firm, prior to his hiring, he was Eterna Plc’s Head of Finance, a position he held since November 2020.
He has a master’s degree in accounting from Lagos State University and an MBA with specialization in financial management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Tansian University, Umunya.
He also holds an advanced diploma in accounting and business from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom.
He has nearly two decades of combined experience, having started his career in the public sector with the Ogun State Board of Internal Revenue.
Kamiyo worked as a consultant with Akinloye Fafowora & Co. (Chartered Accountants) before joining COL Nigeria Limited, where he spent 9 years. Prior to joining Eterna, he was the Group Financial Controller at Crest Agro Products Limited.
He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.
He is a resource person for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a board member on the ICAN Council’s Entrepreneurship Development Committee for the 2023 Presidential Year.
