Eterna Plc, an integrated energy provider in Nigeria, has announced a significant milestone with the launch of its “into-plane Jet-A1 fuel operations” at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos.
This development follows the successful commissioning of the Joint User Hydrant Installation 2 facility, which has a storage capacity of 15 million liters of Jet A1 fuel, the type used to power aircraft.
This expansion aims to enhance fuel availability and efficiency for airlines operating at the airport, marking a key advancement in Eterna’s service offerings in the aviation sector.
In a statement on Sunday, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Eterna, Mr Abiola Lawal expressed enthusiasm about the company’s new jet fuel operations and reaffirmed Eterna’s commitment to providing exceptional service to its customers.
Lawal stated, “Eterna Plc is thrilled to announce two remarkable milestones in our journey within the aviation fueling sector. This facility has the capacity to deliver a minimum of 150 million litres of aviation fuel each month, representing 20 per cent of the nation’s annual sales volume within just one month.
The consortium partners involved in establishing the JUHI-2 depot include Eterna Plc, Masters Energy Oil & Gas, Techno Oil & Gas, Rahamaniyya Oil & Gas, Ibafon Oil, Quest Oil Group, and First Deep Water Limited.
