Energy drink Surge enters Nigerian market

Beverage manufacturer, FirstBev Nigeria Ltd, has introduced a new energy drink called Surge into the Nigerian market.

The Punch reported that the firm, the approved bottler of the RC Cola line of beverages, revealed this in a statement on Tuesday.

The announcement was made on July 18 at the Strongback Villa in Agbara, Ogun State.

Speaking to the crowd during the launch, the Country Head of Marketing for FirstBev Nig. Ltd.,  Mr. Shakiru Ogunyemi, said that Surge Energy was created to satiate the cravings of many Nigerians who desired a distinctive flavour of a premium energy drink unique from the existing versions on the market.

According to him, RC Cola has a reputation for upholding the highest standards around the world, which has increased consumer confidence in Surge Energy Drink over other brands.

He pointed out that Surge Energy Drink was created to suit the preferences of consumers who value their health.

“With its distinctive taste and packaging, It is the ideal drink for consumers of class, and of both genders,” the statement read.

It also added that the drink is incredibly revitalizing and refreshing as well as reasonably priced and accessible throughout Nigeria.
