Emirates suspends flights again after fresh interceptions disrupt operations

Emirates Airline suspended flights again on Saturday March 7 after fresh interceptions further disrupted operations at the world’s largest international carrier.

In the early hours of Saturday, its aircraft avoided flying through the United Arab Emirates’ airspace after the country intercepted projectiles overhead and reported a “minor incident” caused by falling debris.

Earlier, flight-tracking website Flightradar24 showed aircraft circling above the airport in what appeared to be a holding pattern.

Flights from Dubai’s main airport had partially resumed on March 2 despite daily drone attacks targeting sites across the United Arab Emirates.
