Ekiti airport welcomes first aircraft

The new Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State capital received its first aircraft,  aNAF 930 plane, on Saturday amidst fanfare.

Vanguard reported that the airport was officially inaugurated on Saturday by the Aviation Minister, Haidi Sirika

The Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and his wife were on the ground to welcome the multipurpose commercial aircraft that landed at around 10.20 am.

Also present was the deputy governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, the deputy governor-elect, Monisade Afuye, the minister for trade, industry, and investment, Otunba Niyiŕ Adebayo, and other state officials.

Piloted by flight lieutenant Balogun, the airplane conveyed the delegation from the Federal Government.
