DanOne of the sponsors of the 44th Kaduna International Trade Fair, Dangote Industries Limited, has urged for increased engagement to promote trade in Kaduna State and its surroundings.
The statement made by the company at the ongoing trade fair was that participants who wish to carry out business with any of the company’s subsidiaries may take advantage of the opportunity through a dedicated assistance desk at the pavilion.
The Kaduna International Trade fair is an annual dialogue on the business climate in the country. It also provides a platform for exhibition, business partnership and investment.
The event theme “Promoting Value Addition for Economic Growth and Development,”was coined “To complement the efforts of the government in its attempt to promote value addition culture for economic advancement of our dear nation.” This was according to the first deputy president of Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Ishaya Idi.
The Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture celebrated its 50th anniversary at the same time as the Trade Fair, according to the statement.
During the event, the President of KADCCIMA, Suleiman Aliyu, expressed the importance of partnership with Dangote.
The Punch reported that the Director-General of the Chamber, Usman Saulawa, said this year’s trade show was heavily sponsored by the Dangote Group, who had been doing so for many years.
In his words, “Dangote Group has been playing the role of supporter and partner for many years. Its participation has been adding value to the chamber.”
According to Saulawa, the expo this year will be special since it will include a business roundtable discussion that will provide a deeper understanding of business opportunities for participants.
According to him, this year’s expo has drawn foreign businesses from, among other places, Niger, Mali, Pakistan, Senegal, and Egypt.
