The President and CEO, of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has hailed the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, over the successful completion of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals plant.

He stated this while giving his welcome speech at the official commissioning of the Refinery on Monday in Lagos.

While appreciating Buhari, he said,“Your sustained support and encouragement have been a source of great motivation and strength.

“When I felt like giving up, your confidence and quiet words of assurance have made the difference. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he added.

Also while acknowledging the contributions of Tinubu, he said, “Lagos since 1999 has been exceptionally remarkable in commitment to and support for private sector.”

The refinery is situated at the Dangote Industries Free Zone in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. Its primary function is to refine crude oil grades sourced from Africa, Asia, and America.

The refinery has the capacity to produce a surplus of approximately 38 million litres of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel on a daily basis, which is intended for domestic consumption in Nigeria.

The refinery has a capacity to process 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day and converts it into various petroleum products, including diesel, petrol, jet fuel and kerosene.
