Coscharis Motors, the sole distributor of the Ford brand in Nigeria, has unveiled the all-new Ford Territory Sport Utility Vehicle.
The Punch reported that the Deputy Group Managing Director of Coscharis, Fred Amobi, unveiled the Ford Territory, the newest model in the Coscharis product lineup, at the Coscharis Ford Showroom in Lagos.
The SUV is aimed at tech-savvy car aficionados and has a powerful 1.8-liter ecoboost engine.
Amobi reaffirmed the company’s pledge to create jobs and disclosed that the Ford Territory will soon begin to be assembled at its Lagos facility.
“With the launch of the Ford Territory, we hope to uphold our leadership in the automotive industry. Our product lineup is among the strongest and most varied in Nigeria,” he said.
“Coscharis Motors has invested heavily in human and material resources, including workshops, certified original equipment manufacturer-trained technicians, and OEM-approved parts to ensure the vehicle’s optimal performance,” Amobi said, highlighting the vast support network.
The deputy group managing director conveyed confidence in the revitalization of the Nigerian economy and emphasized the importance of the company’s ongoing innovation in the country’s automotive sector.
He emphasized the significance of the company’s assembly facility, which is now located in Awoyaya, Lagos, and is used to construct Ford Ranger vehicles among other brands.
The Ford Territory was described as an SUV created especially for African roads by Executive Director of Sales and Strategy Jonathan Maduka, reaffirming the company’s dedication to producing high-quality goods.
“Our founder, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, stated that he wanted to add value and made it clear that our products would be the standard to measure others in the country when he started this company more than 40 years ago,” Maduka said.
Additionally, the General Manager of Sales at Coscharis Ford, Justin Ngini, highlighted the new Ford Territory’s technological capabilities, praising its contemporary features, roomy interior, safety features, and sizable baggage area.
The first Nigerian buyer to buy a Ford Territory from Coscharis Motors, Tony Archibong, endorsed the car and expressed his satisfaction with the choice.
Citing its comfort and fuel efficiency, Archibong said, “I am happy to have waited for the arrival of the Territory against buying any other model or car brand.”
