Coscharis, Geely launch N1bn after-sales workshop in Nigeria

Coscharis Motors Plc, the exclusive distributor of Geely vehicles in Nigeria, has unveiled a state-of-the-art after-sales workshop valued at over ₦1 billion. The facility was officially launched on Thursday during a press briefing and guided tour in Lagos.

The new workshop is part of Coscharis’ strategy to enhance the post-purchase experience for Geely owners across the country. According to the company, the investment covers spare parts, tools, diagnostic equipment, and infrastructure to support efficient vehicle maintenance.

“Our desire has always been to ensure hassle-free maintenance for our customers,” said Cosmos Maduka Jr., Executive Director of After Sales and Special Duties at Coscharis. “This after-sales workshop is a direct response to that goal.”

He disclosed that over 3,000 Geely vehicles are currently on Nigerian roads, and expressed confidence that the new facility would help double that figure by reinforcing consumer trust through reliable support services.

“The investment includes everything from the building itself to equipment and spare parts,” Maduka noted. “It’s a significant commitment, but one we’re confident will pay dividends in customer satisfaction and long-term brand loyalty.”

Equipped to international standards, the workshop features brand-certified technicians and a full stock of genuine Geely spare parts. Maduka said the facility is designed to deliver world-class service while supporting technological advancement in Nigeria’s automotive sector.

“Our mission is to ensure every Geely customer receives more than just a product—they receive a complete experience, including premium support and long-term value,” he said.

He also praised Geely as a brand aligned with Coscharis’ broader goals. “Geely is a global symbol of innovation, built on precision engineering and customer-focused design,” Maduka added.

Also speaking at the event, Paladin Yao, Country Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Geely Auto International Corporation, applauded the partnership with Coscharis. He announced that Geely vehicles sold in Nigeria now come with a six-year or 200,000-kilometre warranty.

“We’re pleased with the progress and excited to continue growing the Geely footprint in Nigeria,” Yao said.

The launch marks another milestone in Coscharis’ effort to solidify its leadership in the Nigerian auto industry, with a focus on quality service and long-term customer engagement.
