Chemical and Allied Products Plc appoints Debola Badejo non-executive Director

Chemical and Allied Products Plc, a leading player in the chemical and allied industry, has recently made a significant addition to its board with the appointment of Debola Badejo as Non-Executive Director.

The news was officially disclosed in a statement signed by the Company’s Secretary, Aramide Nwokediuko, and sent to Nigeria Exchange Limited.

According to the statement, Mr. Debola Badejo’s appointment is set to take effect from July 21, 2023, subject to approval at the Company’s next Annual General Meeting.

It read; “The Board of Chemical and Allied Products PLC (“CAP” or the “Company”) wishes to inform the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the Company’s shareholders, and the investing public of the appointment of Mr. Adebolanle Badejo (“Debola Badejo”) as a Non-Executive Director of the Company effective July 21, 2023, subject to the approval of the Company’s shareholders at its next Annual General Meeting.”

CAP’s Board is confident that Badejo’s vast experience in finance and investment will be a valuable asset in driving the company’s growth and strategic initiatives.

Debola Badejo boasts an impressive profile as a seasoned finance and investment professional with over 16 years of experience across North America, Europe, and Africa.

He has successfully led, advised, and invested in large companies, demonstrating a keen eye for lucrative commercial opportunities and implementing successful investment strategies.

Currently, Badejo serves as the Group Head of Investments at UAC of Nigeria PLC, where he is responsible for driving value creation and growth across UAC’s portfolio companies, seeking new investment opportunities, and overseeing the financial outcomes of UAC Restaurants Limited as the Executive Vice Chairman.

In his previous role as Managing Director of UACR, Badejo led the business turnaround through strategic roll-outs of corporate-owned restaurants in Nigeria, resulting in over 65% revenue growth.

Before joining UAC, he held key positions in leading investment banks, executing significant M&A, restructuring, and capital-raising transactions across Sub-Saharan Africa and North America.

Debola Badejo’s impressive credentials include sitting on the Boards of Livestock Feeds PLC and MDS Logistics Limited.
