Champion Breweries Plc’s Board of Directors has announced the appointment of Dr Inalegwu Adoga as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Champion Breweries Plc, Uyo.
The company’s notice to the Nigerian Exchange Limited, contained this information. The appointment took effect on December 1, 2023, according to a statement signed by the chairman of the company, Dr. Imo-Abasi Jacob.
According to the company. Dr. Adoga joined Champion Breweries in July 2019 as the production manager, and by September 2021, he had quickly advanced to the position of general manager.
“He has been a driving force behind the company’s transformation over the past four years, putting strategies into place that have raised productivity, income from sales, profitability, and market share.
“Adoga’s leadership enhanced productivity, reduced costs, and expedited the New Product Introduction procedures while guaranteeing adherence to Heineken’s safety and quality standards.”
The company added that his well-thought-out plans filled in infrastructure gaps, enabling Champion Breweries to quickly turn into a profitable entity.
Dr. Adoga brings extensive experience from his time at Heineken and Coca-Cola Hellenic. In addition to being a certified “Master Brewer,” he holds a Master of Brewing Operations from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in the UK and a Process Kaizen Engineer in Quality and Environment from Heineken University.
Dr. Adoga has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology as well as Post Graduate Diplomas in Management, Strategic Management, and Leadership.
In addition to being a student at Ashridge Business School in the United Kingdom, he is also a graduate of Prowess University in Delaware, the United States, with a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Honoris Causa).
