CAP PLC appoints Aramide Nwokediuko company secretary

Chemical and Allied Products Plc. has named Mrs. Aramide Nwokediuko as the company secretary.

This information was provided in a formal statement sent to Nigeria Exchange Limited and signed by the MD, Bolarin Okunowo.

The statement read, “Chemical and Allied Products PLC wishes to inform the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the Company’s shareholders, and the investing public that Mrs. Aramide Nwokediuko has been appointed as CAP’s Company Secretary/General Counsel, effective July 21, 2023.

“This appointment has been approved by the Board of Directors of CAP. The Company and the Board shall be guided and advised by Mrs. Nwokediuko in her capacity as General Counsel and Company Secretary to ensure adherence to its legal, corporate governance, and compliance requirements.

Aramide Nwokediuko is a seasoned attorney with 15 years of experience and skill in corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, legal advising, and company secretarial across several industries.

She most recently worked at CFAO Nigeria, a French conglomerate with ten Nigerian subsidiaries that specializes in the automotive, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and technology sectors, as the group company secretary, head of legal, and chief compliance officer.

She had a significant role in the development, review, and implementation of the organization’s strategy at CFAO Nigeria as well as the establishment of a compliance culture throughout all of the company’s subsidiaries.

Additionally, she took a lead role in creating legal and compliance measures that had an influence on all 155 CFAO organizations dispersed throughout Africa.

Aramide Nwokediuko worked for more than ten years at the prestigious Nigerian law firm Banwo & Ighodalo, where she took part in some of the country’s largest acquisitions in the banking and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.

She is an alumna of Queens College Yaba and the University of Lagos; and has leadership and executive certifications from the Said Business School at Oxford University, London School of Business and Finance, and George Mason University.

She is enthusiastic about empowering women, especially young girls and she has written articles for prestigious journals and given speeches on the subject.
