BUA Cement Plc has announced the resignation of its Executive Director/Chief Finance Officer, Mr. Jacques Piekarski effective 30th April 2024.
This was disclosed in a notice filed by the Company Secretary/Chief Legal Officer, Satomi Hauwa with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Tuesday.
In addition, BUA plc also announced Mr. Chikezie Ajaero the acting Chief Finance Officer of the company
The statement reads “BUA Cement Plc (the Company) wishes to notify the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the investing public that Mr. Jacques Piekarski, its Executive Director/Chief Finance Officer, has resigned his appointment, effective 30th April 2024.
Mr. Chikezie Ajaero has been appointed as the acting Chief Finance Officer of the Company.”
According to the statement, Mr. Chikezie Ajaero is a finance professional and seasoned accountant with an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and has over 26 years of experience in financial reporting and control. Mr. Chikezie Ajaero was the Finance Director of BUA Cement Obu Plant, a role he assumed in 2020.
BUA Cement is a major cement producer in Nigeria its major plant is located at Okpila, Edo state.
