Blum, the newest cryptocurrency airdrop initiative that is popular in Nigeria, has revealed that it had more than 20 million members, up from more than 10 million just 11 days prior.

This was disclosed by Blum via its official X handle, thanking its users for the achievement while encouraging them to keep engaging in the project to help it live up to its maximum potential.

This indicates that in a couple of days, the Web 3 initiative attracted an astounding 10 million users.

Web 3 initiatives introduced on social media platforms such as Telegram are rapidly gaining traction, a trend that emphasizes the role that social media integration plays in promoting Web 3 adoption.

The post reads “20 MILLION @blumcrypto USERS!

“We hit 10M+ on May 31st, and now on June 11th, we’ve zoomed past 20M+!

“You all are absolute legends!

“Thanks for making this happen! Let’s keep the hype rolling and see how far Blum can soar!” The Blum Team tweeted.

Former executives of Binance founded the Blum project after quitting to launch their businesses. The inventors had an idea for a cryptocurrency trading app that would combine decentralized and centralized exchange capabilities to create a novel trading environment. Within 48 hours of its introduction, the app had over 50,000 signups.

Blum’s co-founder and CEO is Gleb Kostarev, a former vice president of Binance. In September of last year, Kostarev announced his resignation from Binance, the massive cryptocurrency exchange, as the platform prepared to leave the Russian market. Since 2018, he has served as Binance’s president of Asia, overseeing over 60 markets, including Turkey, Eastern Europe, and APAC.

Blum officials include Vladimir Smerkis, the former general manager of Binance Russia and the CIS. Smerkis is currently the chief marketing officer and co-founder of Blum, having departed from Binance the same week as Kostarev.

The newest Web 3 project in the Nigerian cryptocurrency market right now is called Blum Airdrop, and millions of Nigerians are sharing their Blum invite URLs on X to get referrals.

Blum is currently the fourth-largest Telegram channel globally, with over 8 million subscribers.
