BIC Manufacturing Corporation has asked the government to encourage teaching by paying teachers fairly for their services to society.
According to The Punch, the company said that every profession is important for the growth and success of society, but the teaching profession serves as the cornerstone for all others.
“Buttressing this fact is a conspicuous denominator that all successful people across various industries share they all passed through the watchful tutelage of teachers.”
“The foundation for inventions, innovations, development, and growth has consistently been demonstrated to be educators in every society, from prehistoric civilizations to the ultramodern period.”
The company said that it is essential to honour the teachers who continue to influence the minds of future leaders, thinkers, and doers as we observe Teachers’ Appreciation Month.
“Educators play a critical role in forming our society, which cannot be overstated. According to statistics, two out of every three pupils say that their professors serve as role models for them.
“Additionally, 83% of respondents acknowledge that their teachers had a significant and positive influence on their lives. They also state that their teachers encouraged them to pursue their dreams, helped them get through difficult times, and increased their confidence and self-esteem.”
