A group of tech billionaires and influential figures in Donald Trump’s orbit gathered for his inaugural celebrations, which kicked off with a church service on Monday morning.
Among those seen taking prominent seats at St. John’s Church were Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson were also seen at the church.
Many of these business leaders had previously been outspoken critics of Trump during his first term, particularly on issues like climate change and immigration.
Several tech billionaires, including SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, accompanied Trump at the Capitol rotunda.
Musk was seen gazing up at the ornate ceiling for several moments. Having invested nearly $300 million in supporting Trump’s campaign, Musk has remained a close ally ever since.
TikTok CEO, Shou Zi Chew is also expected to attend the inauguration, as his company faces the aftermath of a potential US ban.
Additionally, Sam Altman of OpenAI and Dara Khosrowshahi of Uber are anticipated to be present.
