Amazon on Thursday, announced that it is letting go of less than 5% of its workforce at its Buy with Prime division.
Buy with Prime, which debuted in 2022, provides fulfilment and shipping services via its logistics network to businesses that aren’t Amazon merchants.
The division is still a high priority, according to Amazon, which has promised to “continue investing significant resources in Buy with Prime.” The number of employees that make up this unit was not stated.
Approximately thirty workers in the division have been impacted by the layoffs, Reuters reported.
Nonetheless, Amazon stated that it is helping laid-off employees find jobs both inside and outside the organization.
Several hundred workers were let go by the massive e-commerce company last week from its streaming and studio divisions.
According to media reports, the company reportedly made significant job cuts at its Audible audiobook division and Twitch live-streaming site.
Google said earlier this week that it was firing hundreds of workers from its advertising sales division.
