Amazon on Wednesday launched the feature to create AI-generated images on Fire TV devices.
Users who own a second-generation Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Fire TV Omni QLED Series device can use the functionality in the United States as of this Wednesday.
Amazon’s Titan Image Generator, which it unveiled at its AWS re: Invent 2023 conference in November, powers the new functionality for Fire TV.
Similar to previous picture generators such as Stability AI and OpenAI’s DALL-E 3, the Titan model converts textual prompts into visual representations.
Here, however, users may create images with their voice thanks to the Fire TV AI function, which is activated by speaking to Alexa via the TV remote.
The Fire TV Ambient Experience, which transforms the TV into a smart display with artistic backdrops or user-submitted images from an Amazon Photos account, includes the picture generator.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max was the company’s most recent introduction to the experience, which was previously offered in Amazon’s Omni Series Fire TV range.
The news on Wednesday also follows Amazon’s launch of three new generative AI-powered Alexa experiences, which include making original music, interacting with AI characters, and playing the “20 Questions” game.
