Amazon said on Sunday it had suspended operations with Miami-based cargo carrier 21 Air, which operated the Amazon Air flight that crashed in Miami last weekend, killing five people.

The e-commerce giant said the decision followed a review of the circumstances surrounding the crash and its support for the ongoing investigation, according to Reuters.

“After the tragic incident last weekend, we’ve spent time supporting the investigation and reviewing some of the surrounding circumstances, and we’ve decided to pause our operations with 21 Air, the operator of Flight 7598,” Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel said in a statement.

“We’ll continue working to support the investigation and everyone affected.”

Last weekend, the 21 Air-operated cargo flight for Amazon Air, which is Amazon’s cargo logistics network, overran a runway while landing at Miami International Airport and struck multiple vehicles on the ground, officials said.

According to flight-tracking service Flightradar24, the aircraft was a 32-year-old Boeing 767-300 freighter that had previously operated as a passenger aircraft for several airlines between 1994 and 2015.

The National Transportation Safety Board, which is investigating the crash, said the pilots of the 21 Air-operated aircraft considered aborting the landing after touchdown, based on evidence from the flight data recorder.

The NTSB also said one of the pilots warned that the aircraft was travelling “too fast” just over a minute before it touched down and subsequently overran the runway.

The cargo aircraft was on its third flight of the day when it crashed while arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. It had earlier flown from Cincinnati to Miami and then from Miami to San Juan.
