Air Peace has announced the full resumption of its flight operations effective Friday, April 25, 2025, after the suspension of the industrial action by staff and unions of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, Air Peace expressed gratitude to its passengers and partners for their patience during the service disruption caused by the strike.
“Air Peace is pleased to announce the resumption of all flight operations on Friday, April 25, 2025, following the suspension of the industrial action by NiMet and other unions in the aviation sector,” the statement read.
“We sincerely thank you for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support throughout this challenging period. Your resilience and trust in our brand mean the world to us,” Ndiulo added.
The airline also commended the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, for his decisive intervention in resolving the impasse.
“Keyamo’s swift engagement with all stakeholders, his transparent approach to dialogue, and his unwavering dedication to the stability and progress of the aviation sector reflect a deep understanding of the critical role aviation plays in national development,” the statement continued.
Air Peace had earlier suspended all flight operations nationwide on Wednesday, citing the unavailability of critical weather reports due to the strike.
“Due to the ongoing NiMet strike and the unavailability of QNH (hazardous weather) reports required for safe landings, Air Peace has suspended all flight operations nationwide until the strike is over. Your safety is our top priority,” the airline had said.
With operations set to resume, passengers are advised to check official Air Peace channels for updated schedules and further announcements.
