The President of Air Peace, Dr. Allen Onyema, has commended the solo driver Pelumi Nubi for her success in driving from London to Lagos.
Onyema, had, as a result, offered her a free Business Class return flight to London.
This disclosure was made when the Air Peace boss hosted the travel content creator at the airline’s head office in Lagos on Monday.
He said “You made us proud. At a time when the economy is down. You’ve made Nigeria proud. We are full of joy that you achieved this feat. That is why we said we should acknowledge you.
“We are really impressed with what you did. You are part of our national pride. We appreciate what you have done and we have decided to offer you a free Business Class return ticket to London.”
Meanwhile, Miss Nubi, who was stunned at the offer expressed gratitude and commended Air Peace’s recently launched London service for being a disruptor in the sector.
Recall Nubi had announced on social media of her intention to embark on a solo drive from London to Lagos, starting January 30, 2024.
She noted, when the idea was conceived, not many were impressed by the reason provided by the Lagos-born, and some thought she had gone insane.
However, she has received a lot of accolades ever since she achieved this great feat.
