AI, cybersecurity take centre stage at digital signage summit

The Digital Signage Summit 2026 spotlighted the technologies and market forces reshaping the global digital signage and digital out-of-home industry, with discussions centred on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, orchestration and ongoing industry consolidation.

Marking its 20th anniversary, the summit brought together executives, technology leaders, strategists and innovators from Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa and other regions to examine how the sector is adapting to rapid technological and commercial transformation.

Organised by invidis consulting in partnership with Integrated Systems Events, this year’s event was held under the theme “NextGen Signage,” reflecting the industry’s transition from traditional hardware-focused operations to software-driven, platform-based and service-oriented business models.

Over two days, keynote presentations, panel discussions and spotlight sessions explored strategies for long-term growth, operational resilience and value creation. Industry leaders also discussed mergers, acquisitions and evolving competitive dynamics, highlighting the increasing importance of strategic positioning as the market undergoes significant change.

The summit further reinforced its role as a key industry forum, with participants examining how businesses can scale and manage digital signage networks more effectively in an increasingly connected environment.

New breakout session formats introduced at DSS 2026 attracted strong participation, providing additional opportunities for targeted discussions and direct audience engagement.
