Marconi.NG EPC Limited, formerly the Eni/Saipem EPC division, has appointed Ahonsi Unuigbe, the founder/CEO of Petralon Energy, as the chairman of its board of Directors.
Ahonsi, who is also the chairman of the Nigerian Stock Exchange Limited and a board member of Africa Oil Corp, will bring his extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, capital markets, and corporate governance to the new role.
“This appointment is a natural extension of our work at Petralon Energy. Both companies share a commitment to local content, a belief in the power of strategic partnerships, and a drive to create lasting value for all stakeholders,” Ahonsi said, describing his appointment as an honor.
“I look forward to partnering with Marconi’s shareholders and leadership team and collaborating to build on their decades of experience to drive the company’s next phase of growth,” he added.
Marconi operates the largest and most advanced fabrication yard in West Africa, combining global standards with deep local expertise to serve both traditional oil and gas projects and renewable energy developments.
