Oracle has unveiled Media Fabric, an AI-powered platform designed to help media companies, streaming services and brands produce video content and deliver live streams.
The company announced the platform on Tuesday at its AI World event in Las Vegas, United States.
Media Fabric combines Oracle’s AI video and image models, an AI production suite and a live-streaming network, enabling brands to create multiple versions of a single advertisement. Oracle said the platform would be available within 12 months.
“Creating content and delivering it to viewers were separate processes,” said Oracle chief executive Clay Magouyrk. “With Oracle Media Fabric, we’re bringing content creation and streaming together, using AI across the entire production and distribution workflow.”
The platform features Oracle’s proprietary AI models for generating and editing videos and images, integrated into a tool called Creative Studio. It can also select third-party AI models for specific tasks based on factors such as cost, security and copyright risks.
Another component, Oracle Video Edge, is designed to stream major live events. It uses real-time data to direct viewers to the most suitable servers, helping streams load quickly and maintain smooth playback during periods of peak demand.
