Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool’s new front-of-shirt sponsor from the start of the 2027-28 season after agreeing a five-year deal worth £300m.
The agreement is valued at more than £60m per season, surpassing Liverpool’s existing £50m-a-year deal with Standard Chartered, which has served as the club’s main partner and front-of-shirt sponsor since 2010.
Liverpool said the Turkish Airlines agreement is the most valuable front-of-shirt-only commercial deal in Premier League history.
Arsenal’s partnership with Emirates and Manchester City’s deal with Etihad Airways also include stadium naming rights.
The announcement comes after Liverpool reported record revenue of more than £700m for its latest financial year in February, while the club was also the highest-ranked Premier League side in Deloitte’s Football Money League.
Turkish Airlines will be only the third front-of-shirt sponsor at Liverpool in 35 years, following Carlsberg and Standard Chartered.
Standard Chartered will remain on the shirt for the 2026-27 season before becoming a global partner from the 2027-28 campaign.
Turkish Airlines chief executive Ahmet Olmustur said, “This partnership brings together two global brands united by their international reach, commitment to excellence and ability to inspire millions of people around the world.”
Turkish Airlines will become the sixth front-of-shirt sponsor in Liverpool’s history, following Hitachi (1979-1982), Crown Paints (1982-1988), Candy (1988-1992), Carlsberg (1992-2010) and Standard Chartered (2010-2027).
Talks between Liverpool and Turkish Airlines began before 1892 Holdings, a consortium led by Liverpool vice-chairman Amit Bhatia, acquired a stake of about 38 per cent in the club last month.
