Former England football captain David Beckham has officially joined the billionaire club.
According to Forbes, Beckham’s growing business empire, endorsement deals and investments helped push his net worth past the billion dollar mark years after retiring from professional football.
The magazine reported that Beckham earned around $100 million last year alone through partnerships, fashion campaigns, sports investments and brand endorsements.
Beyond football, Beckham has built a powerful global brand through collaborations with major companies in fashion, sportswear, fragrances and luxury products.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star is also a co owner of Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, the club that recently gained global attention following Lionel Messi’s arrival.
Forbes noted that Beckham’s financial success has continued to grow alongside that of his wife, fashion designer and former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham.
Widely regarded as one of football’s most marketable figures, Beckham has remained influential in sports and business since retiring from football in 2013.
