FG unveils platform to simplify public information access

FG seeks investors for nationwide fibre optic project

The Federal Government has unveiled GovGuideNigeria, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to make government information and public services more accessible to Nigerians nationwide.

Announcing the launch on Thursday via his X handle, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani said the initiative aligns with the government’s push to enhance public service delivery through digital innovation and technology.

According to the Minister, the platform can be accessed through WhatsApp and the web, with support for English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba to ensure inclusivity for users across different linguistic groups.

Tijani noted that GovGuideNigeria enables users to easily obtain information from over 35 federal ministries and more than 60 government agencies.

He explained that the platform was developed to close language and information gaps, especially for underserved and low-literacy communities that frequently encounter difficulties accessing government information and public services.

“Today, we launched GovGuideNigeria, an AI-powered platform designed to make access to government information simpler, faster, and more inclusive for every Nigerian,” the Minister said.

Tijani added that the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to deploying artificial intelligence and digital technologies to create tangible benefits for citizens.

The Minister said the GovGuideNigeria initiative was developed in collaboration with the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Meta, and Publica.

He noted that the project highlights the value of partnerships between government institutions, private sector organisations, and local innovators in tackling public sector challenges.
